Cathy Broski is inspired by nature and simple gesture drawings. Her work includes archetypical and personal Symbolism. Cathy chooses these forms to work with because they have several levels of meaning that she finds intriguing to explore. Made from stoneware, each tile begins with a slab of clay. Cathy’s tiles are not made from molds each tile is individually hand built and no two are ever exactly alike. This matte finish blue ceramic frame has a hand mounted within the frame and is a symbolic representation of peace and serenity. Each tile comes with the artist’s story card. Xenia Taler Nude Tiles

This modern nude tile is reminiscent of earlier masterworks. A sketched line drawing with the crackle back drop, simple and beautiful. This tile can be displayed anywhere, pair it with another or let it stand alone. Either way it is sure to get noticed.
Every tile is entirely hand painted. Because each tile is individually handmade, appearance, variations in shade and color are inherent. Each comes equipped for wall hanging and has cork on the bottom so they can double as trivets. Comes with an artist’s biography, adding to its unique quality if giving this tile as a gift. see the rest of Xenia Taler's collection. This tile is a limited edition, once our stock is gone it will be no longer available. Handmade in Canada.

Amy Meya

Amy Meya was inspired to create her ceramic bird tiles when she and her children planted giant sunflowers outside their dining room window. When the sunflowers grew tall, they attracted sparrows, cardinals and goldfinches.
Like a painting, each piece is created individually, the clay her canvas, the glaze her paint. As a painter must prepare the canvas, Amy must also prepare the slab of clay by adding texture. Amy textures the tile with rolling pins that she makes out of clay, sea shells or other natural texture makers. The birds are created by pinching a hollow bird form and then closed by using large sea shells to form the wing feather texture and underbelly and back texture.
