Stacy Simbrom Wooden Box

Artist Stacy Simbrom's 3-dimensional creations are whimsical with a lighthearted flair! This contemporary folk art box is made from wood. The box is stained in a midnight blue tone then embellished with mixed-media elements, including distressed metal wings and hat and spring coil legs with bumper feet, the angels slim upper body is carved from wood and painted in natural tones. The face is represented by a plastic disc with facial features drawn on the surface and text running across the image in an abstract way. The body has ripped paper attached to the front with the words “I obeyed her. I was half happy.” The 3” x 3” box is lined with black felt on the interior. A perfect storage place for little treasures. Each box is individually created; no two are ever exactly alike. Stacy Simbrom

Stacy lives and works in her 100 year old home in East Northport, New York and has been a professional artist for more than fifteen years. She has developed a loyal following throughout the country, selling her art through wholesale gift shows and thus being distributed through galleries and gift shops in nearly all of the 50 states. Stacy has been recognized by several national periodicals and has had her work displayed at the American Folk Art Museum in New York, NY. She was also recently featured (alongside the original artwork of Theodore Geisel - Dr. Seuss) in the Animazing Gallery in the SoHo district of NYC.
