Suzanne Manji

Suzanne Manji is a Detroit artist who has lived in New York and Washington, DC before relocating to Michigan in 1995. She started painting seriously in 1985 and graduated from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. There she received the prestigious Alma Thomas award for painting. She has had numerous exhibits of her paintings and sculptural assemblages. Between 1990 and 1996, she created over 300 custom pieces to celebrate the lives of many people.
Her work is in the private collection of various collectors and individuals all over the world. In 1997, she began studying and painting pears. That interest has sustained her for over a decade. She has created over 500 works of art celebrating the pear in all sizes and media. On arthousegifts.com she is launching a new series of miniature pear paintings created in watercolor, India ink and 23 k gold manuscript ink.
